Description

Built by Colecraft in 2000, Ohana is a 60ft traditional narrowboat offering a practical four-berth layout, well-suited to relaxed canal cruising, weekend escapes or spending extended periods aboard. With a welcoming interior, a range of useful domestic appliances and a traditional engine room, she combines the character of a classic narrowboat with the everyday comforts needed for life on the waterways.

Stepping aboard from the bow, you enter the inviting saloon, a comfortable space to unwind after a day exploring the canals. A multi-fuel stove creates a cosy focal point, making the saloon particularly appealing during the cooler months, while the TV provides entertainment when moored up. The convertible sofa bed offers additional sleeping accommodation, allowing the boat to comfortably accommodate up to four people.

Moving through the boat, the galley provides a practical and well-equipped space for preparing meals on board. Facilities include a gas hob, oven and grill, alongside a 12v fridge and separate freezer for storing fresh and frozen provisions. A stainless-steel sink and washing machine add further convenience, making Ohana well suited to longer stays and extended cruising without compromising on the essentials.

The full bathroom is thoughtfully equipped with a bathtub and shower, cassette toilet supplied with two cassettes, vanity basin and heated towel rail. The combination of bathing facilities and practical storage makes this a useful feature for those planning to spend more time aboard.

Beyond the bathroom, the fixed double cabin provides a dedicated sleeping area, complete with under-bed storage and a wardrobe to help keep personal belongings neatly organised. With a cabin height of approximately 6ft 4in, the interior offers useful headroom throughout the boat.

At the stern, the traditional engine room houses the Beta Marine 1903 engine, providing a dedicated space for the boat's mechanical systems and maintaining the character associated with a traditional narrowboat layout.

Ohana benefits from a range of features designed to support comfortable and independent cruising. Polystyrene insulation helps regulate temperatures throughout the seasons, while the Alde heating system, refurbished in 2022, provides warmth throughout the interior. Solar panels, a 1500w inverter and shoreline hook-up offer a choice of power sources, giving flexibility whether cruising between destinations or enjoying time moored in a marina. Generous water and waste capacities further support life aboard.

Additional maintenance and safety details include a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2030 and hull blacking carried out in October 2023 using Rytex.

With its traditional Colecraft build, four-berth accommodation, well-equipped galley, full bathroom and a good range of onboard systems, Ohana offers a comfortable and practical base for exploring the inland waterways. Whether you're looking for a boat for leisurely weekends away or a home from which to enjoy longer adventures, she presents an appealing opportunity to embrace the freedom of life afloat.
