Description
Tadpole is a charming 35ft cruiser stern narrowboat, built in 1997 by Liverpool Boats, offering a practical and comfortable space for exploring the UK’s inland waterways. With accommodation for two people, this compact narrowboat is an ideal choice for couples, first-time boat buyers or those looking for a manageable boat for leisurely cruising and weekend escapes.
Stepping aboard from the cruiser stern, you enter the galley, which comes equipped with an LPG cooker, microwave, 240V fridge, kettle and toaster. A selection of pots and pans is also included, along with a rechargeable vacuum cleaner, making Tadpole ready for everyday use.
Moving through the boat, the bathroom features a shower, cassette toilet, hand basin with vanity unit and a medicine cabinet, providing all the essential facilities in a practical space.
The living area offers a cosy place to relax, furnished with a small table and chairs and a pine sideboard for additional storage. A pull-out bed provides sleeping accommodation for two, allowing the space to be used comfortably during the day and converted for sleeping at night.
Tadpole is powered by a Lister engine, which was last serviced in 2024, and benefits from a new alternator fitted in the same year. A useful roof-mounted storage box incorporates a solar panel, while the electrical system includes one starter battery, two leisure batteries, shoreline connection, an inverter and a galvanic isolator. Hot water is supplied by a Paloma water heater, which was serviced in February 2024. The boat also benefits from a 150-litre freshwater tank and a 150-litre fuel tank.
The hull was last blacked with bitumen in June 2023, and the Boat Safety Certificate is valid until 21st September 2027. With its compact dimensions, practical layout and useful onboard equipment, Tadpole presents a lovely opportunity for anyone looking to enjoy a slower pace of life on the canals.
Whether you are taking your first steps into boat ownership or searching for a smaller narrowboat for peaceful weekends on the water, Tadpole is well worth viewing.
