Description
Autumn Glory is a charming 60ft Traditional Stern narrowboat, built in 1995 with a GT Boats hull and Nimbus fit-out. Full of classic character and traditional features, she offers accommodation for up to six across three double berths, combining a practical cruising layout with the warmth and individuality of a traditionally styled narrowboat.
Her layout runs stern to bow: Boatman’s Cabin / Engine Room / Bathroom / Bedroom / Kitchen / Saloon, creating a well-proportioned and practical arrangement for both cruising and extended stays aboard.
At the stern, the traditional boatman’s cabin is a particular highlight, complete with decorative roses and castles, a traditional speed wheel and push-pull controls, and a solid fuel boatman’s stove with cooking plate, oven and brass fiddle rail. The seating converts into a double berth, with useful storage drawers, cupboards and a drop-down table.
The dedicated engine room houses the classic diesel engine and provides useful additional working space. It features engine instrumentation and hour meter, a washing machine, electrical switch panel, battery isolator, inverter and battery charger. Side hatches on both sides are decorated with traditional roses and castles artwork, continuing the boat's distinctive character.
Moving forward, the bathroom features a separate tiled shower enclosure with glazed folding door, cassette toilet, washbasin with mixer tap and storage, mirrored wall cabinet and central heating radiator. Tiled splashbacks and timber wall panelling complement the traditional interior.
The bedroom offers a fixed double bed with storage drawers beneath, overhead cupboards with reading lights, a full-height fitted wardrobe and additional storage cupboards and drawers. Timber-lined walls and ceiling, floral curtains and carpeted flooring create a warm and comfortable space.
The U-shaped galley is well equipped for life afloat, featuring timber cupboards and drawers, a Vanette four-burner gas hob, separate Vanette gas oven and grill, under-counter fridge, microwave and sink with mixer tap and drainer. Tiled worktops and splashbacks, dresser-style shelving and a traditionally decorated side hatch add both practicality and character.
At the bow, the welcoming saloon provides a comfortable place to relax, with L-shaped upholstered seating and storage drawers beneath. The seating converts into an additional double berth, while a removable dining table provides a flexible dining and living space. A multifuel stove sits within a tiled hearth surround, with glass-fronted storage cabinets, open shelving and a TV cabinet providing plenty of useful storage.
Timber-lined walls and ceilings feature throughout, complemented by floral curtains and traditional decorative detailing.
Heating is provided by Webasto central heating, complemented by the multifuel stove in the saloon and traditional solid fuel boatman’s stove, making Autumn Glory a comfortable choice throughout the seasons.
With her GT Boats hull, Nimbus fit-out, traditional styling, three double berths and characterful boatman’s cabin, Autumn Glory offers a wonderful combination of classic narrowboat character and practical accommodation. She would make an appealing choice for leisure cruising, extended stays or those looking for a distinctive boat with plenty of personality.
